Start-Up Procedure
Prior to starting
Carefully clean all hydraulic components that can contaminate system hydraulic
fluid, such as filter, hydraulic hose and/or tubing, and heat exchanger.
Insure that nothing obstructs the charge pump suction line. Check for loose
connections on the suction line that could introduce air into the system. Install
pressure gauges of the proper test range at the high and low-pressure test points
(see page 7).
Filling
To prevent introduction of contamination into the system, use 10 micron filtration
when filling the system.
Fill the reservoir and other components with large hydraulic fluid capacities
individually.
Fill the pump and motor with filtered oil at least 50% full using a case drain port.
Start-Up
Machine start-up should be done without load on the system, if possible, until all
air is eliminated from the system. Machine shafts should rotate freely and
without load.
