Introduction

IMPORTANT:

• This parts manual contains parts information for all models of the Gehl RS Series Telescopic Handlers, except for fire R8549 and fire 1956-34 models; please refer to fire appropri- ate parts manuals for RS5—19 and R86-34 parts listings.
• NOTE: This parts manual identifies both standard and optional features for these models. Depending on the features of your machine, some of the items identified in the parts fists may, or may not be included with the machine. Furfirer more, be aware that many components (such as transmissions and axles) differ between the various models; be sure to review the parts listing for the correct model before ordering parts.
• When ordering service parts. specify the part number. full description. quantity required. and the unit model and serial number.
• Model and serial numbers for this unit are stamped on a plate located inside the operator’s station. The serial number is also stamped on the top front of the frame. The above reference shows the breakdown of the serial number:
• ‘Right’ and ‘left are determined from a position standing behind the unit and facing the direction of forward travel.
• Gehl Company reserves the right to make changes or improvements in the design or conshuction of any part of the unit without incurring the obligation to install such changes on any unit previously delivered.
