“FC8” is a term for Hitachi’s original LSI having FRC function. “FRC” stands for Frame Rate Converter. By using the Frame Rate Converter technology for moving compensation, this circuit creates higher picture quality and has the following function: Telecine performance (as applying “Film mode”): Judder Reduction From the perspective of hardware, this function is actualised by mounting FC8 LSI and 3 sets of 256Mbit-DDR2 memories on the FC8 board (which is only for this function). As a block component, the FC8 board is located in front of the panel block.
