GENERAL
Basically the only difference between the S60B to SlO0B and ะ60ะก to ะ120ะก Lift Truck Engines, is the cublc inch displacement. The S60B to S80B and ยทะฝ6ะะก to ะะะะก trucks are powered ะฌั ะฐ Continental F226 engine, whereas the Sl00B, Hl00C and ะ120ะก are powered ะฌั ะฐ Continental F-244 engine. Although the engine removal procedures vary between models, the overhaul procedures remain the same.
REMOVAL
1. Remove the overhead guard, hood and floor plates. The accelerator pedal linkage should ะฌะต disconnected at the carburetor to facilitate main floor plate removal.

REMOVAL
1. Remove the overhead guard, hood and floor plates. The accelerator pedal linkage should ะฌะต disconnected at the carburetor to facilitate main floor plate removal.
2. “S” Series”. Engine removal is consideraะฌly easier if the counterweight is removed. ะขะพ remove the counterweight, attach ะฐ hoist and remove the center ะฌolt at the rear of the truck. Then loosen the two nuts in the engine compartment and lift the counterweight free.
3. After draining the radiator, disconnect the two water hoses, and the two oil lines to the oil cooler. (Oil cooler on Power-Shift Transmission units only.) ะกะฐั all lines to prevent foreign matter from entering the hydraulic system. If truck is equipped with oil clutch, remove the four oil lines attached to the scavenge pump. This pump is mounted on the generator. Remove vacuum line f rom intake manifold and breather line from air cleaner. Disconnect transmission oil filter and brake lines from master cylinder.
