• The Kobelco SK270LC IV Hydraulic Excavator is a “Hybrid” design machine. that utilizes the basic upper structure of the Kobelco SK220LC IV (with a modified heavy duty revolving frame). and the basic lower structure of the Kobelco SK300LC IV.
• These are joined together using a specially designed SK300LC IV type swing bearing, unique to this application. The SK270LC IV also incorporates an extreme service reinforced boom. and an 11′ 2″ extreme service reinforced arm. that are specially designed for this application as well. The SK270LC IV uses the SK220LC IV bucket pin connection dimensions, however the bucket capacities have been increased for this application.

Because of the use of common SK220 upper, and common SK300 lower structures, this manual shares many of it’s sections with the Shop Manuals for these two model machines. You will find references made by machine model serial number prefixes, throughout this manual as listed below:
