These instructions contain comprehensive notes and information about safe use, maintenance, specific precautionary measures and available special equipment. Massey Ferguson® machines undergo continuous further development. All technical data, illustrations and photos in these operating instructions are therefore nonbinding and we reserve the right to make changes. Furthermore, these operating instructions are not subject to a revision service. Information regarding the structure of the operating instructions These operating instructions provide you with all of the information required for safe operation of the machine. In addition to the guidelines for correct usage and the technical operating parameters, the operator and those persons tasked by the operator to operate the machine must in principle observe and comply in full with all warning and safety information provided relating to possible hazards and existing risks in connection with the operation and use of the machine. The main focus of the operating instructions consists of providing information on:
• The structure and function of the machine
• Preparing the machine for operation
• Commissioning and operating the machine, as well as travelling on public roads with the machine and parking the machine after use.
In addition, the operating instructions contain action instructions and specifications for,
• Settings on the machine
• Rectifying possible faults and
• Carrying out maintenance and repair work

Alongside the general safety instructions provided at the beginning of these instructions, the individual sections of the operating instructions have been preceded by appropriate special safety instructions which must also be observed.

Structure of the safety instructions Each safety instruction is found below a signal word (see also Section 1.3), which indicates the extent of the risk that is present. The first line after the signal word describes the nature and source of the possible risk (highlighted in bold). The following section indicates the consequences that may occur if no measures for preventing the risk(s) are taken. The final section outlines risk-prevention measures. The combination of a signal word and a pictogram further classifies the particular risk or warning information. The symbol may vary according to the nature of the risk.
