Controls, Transmissions and Electronic Systems
Section 2 walks through the cab layout on both the TM120-TM155 and TM175-TM190 variants, with numbered control diagrams covering the joystick, hand and foot throttle, handbrake, footbrakes, shuttle lever, multi-function switch and instrument console. The manual then details each transmission separately: Shuttle Command (20 x 16), Dual Command (24 x 12 with the Hi/Lo button), Range Command (17 x 6 and 18 x 6 semi-powershift) and Power Command (17 x 6, 18 x 6 and 19 x 6 full powershift). Creeper gear operation, ground speed charts and calibration numbers are included for each. The Electronic Management Unit chapter explains differential lock, four wheel drive and worklamp control.
Field Operation, P.T.O. and Hydraulics
Section 3 covers the working side of the tractor: cold and warm starting procedures including Thermostart operation, Engine Power Management and Engine Speed Management on TM175/TM190, and the Headland Turn Sequence with its full symbol reference and programming steps. The rear and front P.T.O. chapters cover two-speed, three-speed shiftable and ground drive options, the Soft Start function, shaft interchange, external fender switches and the Auto P.T.O. function. Hydraulics are treated in depth through Mechanical Draft Control and Electronic Draft Control, plus non load-sensing remote valves, load-sensing remote valves and electro-hydraulic remote valves. Wheel track adjustment, ballasting, tyre pressures and permissible loads round out the section.
Maintenance, Fault Finding and Specifications
Section 4 gives the full lubrication and maintenance chart with operations numbered from the daily checks through the 10, 50, 300, 600, 1200 and 1800 hour service intervals and the two-year coolant change. Fluid capacities, recommended lubricants and the diesel fuel selection chart are included. Section 5 provides fault finding tables for the engine, each transmission type, hydraulics, three-point linkage, brakes, cab and electrical system. Section 8 lists engine ratings, bore and stroke, compression ratio, injection pump types, cooling system data, hydraulic pump flows, three-point lift capacities and hardware torque tables. TM175 and TM190 benefit from the Power Boost figures and the 50 km/h transmission options documented here.
