1. This pubblication lists only the main direct labour operations normally carried out by the NEW HOLLAND service organization for the repair and maintenance of NEW HOLLAND built tractors and groups, or others approved by NEW HOLLAND. The indirect labour operations normally assigned to Service Managers, Foremen, etc…are not listed.
2. Time rates contained in this book are those recorded for mechanics of average skill in the following conditions:
– Availability of general-purpose tools and spare parts needed for the repair involved.
– Availability of special-purpose tools considered mandatory by NEW HOLLAND.
3. To facilitate consulation of this manual in conjunction with parts catalogues, each page of this book bears the numeric code cross-reference to Parts Catalog illustrations involved by the operation in hand, along with the operation codes.
4. Description of the operation is a summary of the work to be carried out. The actual work relating to one operation is not described in every detail. For full information, turn to the Workshop Manual covering the Model(s) in question. Unless otherwise specified, each operation is intended to be complete and carried out on the machine. In some times the terms “removed” or “on bench” have been used for short: the time indicated includes placing on and removal from work bench or revolving stand.
5. The time rates (in hours and tenths of an hour: 0,1=6 minutes) are given next to each operation for the different basic models. Such figures are to be multiplied by the hourly time rate to obtain the corresponding amounts for invoicing purposes.
6. Wording “as a result of Op..” added in some cases to complete the description of the operation, warns that the operation is part of a sequence of operations which must be carried out in the same order given on the Time rates quoted under the Model column involved refer only to the subject operation while the total rate for the repair is obtained by summing up the single rates of the operation sequence items
7. The time rates for the single removal/installation or replacement operations referred to cab air conditioning system parts do not include A/C system recharge operations.
