Oliver Super 55HC 55 550 HC Tractor Service Manual

Tractor serial number and tractor specification number plate is located on the left hand side of the tractor center frame. Engine serial number is stamped on right side of engine rear flange.To perform a tractor split, proceed as follows: Block-up under tractor center frame in a manner so as not to raise tractor wheels from the floor. Support front end of tractor with hoist by placing a chain or rope sling around the tractor hood, engine and rear portion of tractor front main frame. Unbolt radius rods from front axle center member. Remove four cap screws attaching center frame cover to transmission housing. Remove six cap screws attaching center frame cov er to tractor center frame. Disconnect fender light wire from fuse block under the panel. Remove two bolts (one from each side) attaching tractor center frame to engine rear plate. Re move four cap screws (two from each side) attaching tractor front main frame to tractor center frame. Com- plete the tractor split by moving the engine part of tractor away from the tractor center frame and transmission assembly.
