Safety

The safety chapter opens with general precautions covering clothing and protective equipment, fire and explosion hazards, exhaust fumes, asbestos handling, crush and cut hazards, and the requirement to install a fire extinguisher and first aid kit. It then moves through precautions for preparing the work area, starting the engine, operating the machine, stopping and parking, transporting, and performing maintenance. A full safety signs (decals) section reproduces every decal on the machine with its part number and location diagram, including the No. 08810-31556 read-manual warning, the No. 08820-31046 safety distance decal, the No. 06593-00012 avoid-death seat belt decal and the No. 06993-00126/06993-00064/06893-00041 avoid-overturn capacity decals for each model.

Controls

This chapter identifies every control on the machine with numbered illustrations. It covers the ignition key, fuel filler port, DEF/AdBlue refill port (TL12V2 and TL12R2 only), engine hood, rear door, cab, cab door, side window, sun visor, emergency exit, fuse box and lift arm stopper. The multi-information display section explains the home screen, warning lamps, indicators, screen control keys and navigation, including the trip meter, auxiliary line flow rate, machine settings, date and time, data display, error code display and LCD settings. The switches section covers the ignition switch, engine shutdown switch, horn, float button, throttle controller, auxiliary hydraulic switches, travel speed button, wiper and washer switches, light switch, ECO mode, DPF manual regeneration/inhibit select switch, parking brake, ride control, Aux. 2nd/14-pin connector select, 14-pin connector G/H select, self-leveling and hydraulic system unlock switches. Accessories include the air conditioner, power supply socket, interior light, mirrors and the two radio options (JHD910 and JHD922BT).

Operation

The operation chapter walks through getting on and off the machine, walk-around inspection, daily inspection, starting and stopping the engine, warming up the engine and hydraulic oil, and inspection after warm-up. It explains the ISO and H lever patterns, traveling the machine, stopping travel, operating the working equipment, and the float mode. Prohibited operations and cautions on operating are detailed, along with cautions on traveling on slopes, braking when descending, and what to do if the engine stops on a slope. The chapter lists operations possible with the machine including scooping, digging, leveling, backfilling, leveling using the float position and loading. It closes with parking procedures, inspection and checks after stopping the engine, handling in cold climates, handling rubber tracks, handling the engine and diesel fuel requirements.

Transport

Loading and unloading procedures are covered with ramp angle limits (15° maximum), signal person requirements, and the correct bucket position when climbing ramps. Hoisting the machine is explained with front and rear hook fixing positions, hoisting posture diagrams and a table of lifting dimensions (A through G) for each model. Securing the machine covers tie-down points, transporting posture, and the chain or wire rope routing with α1, α2, β×1, β×2, F1* and F2* values for each model.

Maintenance

The maintenance chapter is the largest section of the manual. It opens with a maintenance overview and cautions, then presents service data including the fuel and lubricant table with diesel fuel specifications (ASTM D975, EN590:2009, JIS K2204 Grade No.2, BS2869-A1 or A2, ISO 8217 DMX, EN14214 for biodiesel blends up to B7), lubricant selection by ambient temperature, and fluid volumes for engine oil pan, engine cooling system, hydraulic oil tank, fuel tank and travel reduction gear. Hydraulic system specifications are listed for the TL10V2 and TL12R2/TL12V2 with working pressure ranges, flow-rate ranges, working temperature range and fluid type. Lists of consumables (filters, elements and part numbers), tools, tightening torques for ISO strength category 10.9 nuts and bolts, and safety-critical parts with replacement intervals are included. The maintenance list spans walk-around inspection, daily inspection (every 10 hours), after the initial 50 hours, every 50 hours, after the initial 250 hours, every 250, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000, 6000 and 8000 hours, when required, and every year. Each procedure is explained with step-by-step instructions, torque values and warnings.

Troubleshooting

The troubleshooting chapter starts with symptoms that are not malfunctions, then covers what to do if the engine overheats, if the battery goes dead, if a fuse blows (with a full fuse layout table for sides A and B), restarting after adding fuel, bleeding air from the fuel system, restarting when the DEF/AdBlue level is low or the tank is empty, what to do if a warning lamp flashes, vehicle error code list, engine error code list, other symptoms, lowering the lift arms to the ground, towing, what to do if the cab or canopy is damaged, and exhaust gas control system errors including NCD and PCD diagnostic systems and engine output limitation.

Specifications

Basic specifications are given for each model in canopy and cab configurations, covering operating mass, bucket capacity, travel speed (1st and 2nd), gradeability, ground pressure, engine manufacturer and model, rated output (gross SAE J1995, net ISO 14396, net ISO 9249/SAE J1349), displacement, CO2 emission, starter, alternator, battery and noise emission values. Machine dimensions tables list overall length, track base, overall height, ground clearance, overall width, track shoe width, body width, canopy/cab width, bucket width, bucket height and departure angle. Operating ranges tables list maximum raised height of bucket, bucket hinge pin height, dumping clearance, dumping reach, minimum turning radius, and bucket roll back angle.

Options

The options chapter covers general precautions, safety precautions, cautions when installing and operating attachments, the hydraulic quick-hitch (installation, removal and safety switch), quick-couplers and 4-port quick-couplers with residual pressure release and hydraulic circuit connection procedures, selecting and switching the lever pattern, the seat with a switch function, optional equipment mass, optional products for cab and canopy, Takeuchi Fleet Management (TFM) with specifications for M8HZT-E, M8LZT-E, M7H, M7L and M7MG modules, installing optional equipment on the rear of the machine, and the block heater connection cable. Declaration of Conformity documents for EU and UK are also included.

Why This Operator Manual Matters

The Takeuchi TL10V2, TL12V2 and TL12R2 are compact track loaders used in construction, landscaping, agriculture and material handling. Operating them safely and keeping them running requires the correct procedures, torque values, fluid capacities and maintenance intervals. This manual provides all of that in one document. Whether you are a fleet owner, a rental company, a mechanic or an operator, having the manufacturer’s instructions on hand means you can perform daily inspections, scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs correctly the first time.

Every procedure in this manual is written for the specific serial number ranges listed above. Using the wrong torque, fluid or adjustment can damage components, shorten machine life or create a safety hazard. The AR1EN027 operator’s manual is the reference Takeuchi expects you to follow.
