INTRODUCTION :

• A Service and Maintenance Manual and a Parts Catalog are provided by Tigercat to assist dealer, customer and operator in becoming familiar with the features of Tigercat Butt-n-top serial numbers BT0101 to BT0500
• The Butt-n-top grapple is designed to handle full tree length wood in sorting, loading, and forwarding applications.
  The Safety and the Service and Maintenance sections will assist the operator with the techniques of proper and safe operation of the Butt-n-top. These sections contain important information regarding the safe operation of the Butt-n-top, servicing procedures and a preventative maintenance schedule to assist in repair and to ensure optimum machine performance. Also included are disassembly and assembly instructions. For manual part numbers, refer to the title page in each manual.
• Section 1 contains safety information that must be followed. As well, throughout the rest of the manual, WARNING AND CAUTION notices are displayed where necessary, drawing attention to possible hazards when performing certain procedures.
• The operation of this equipment must be made aware of the fact that the safety of the people on the ground, i.e., workers or bystanders, is the responsibility of the machine operators.
• Only trained personnel should be allowed to operate or work on the grapple and machine.
• The information contained in this manual is current at time of printing. Improvements to the machine are ongoing and may not be covered therefore. In these cases contact your Tigercat dealer for the appropriate information.
• Tigercat reserves the right to make changes to the machine after this manual release date that may not immediately appear on this manual.
