Machine Operation:
Introduction:
The purpose of this section is to describe the operation of the individual motion controls and include some recommended operating procedures and practices that will aid the operator in the safe, smooth and efficient operation of the machine.

Operator Responsibilities:
• The operator must read and understand the operator’s manual and be familiar with
all instructions and signs on the machine.
• The operator must see that the machine is in proper order before starting to work
each shift. Refer to PRE-START INSPECTIONS for details. Check with mine
maintenance and operations management to see that periodic maintenance and
inspections have been performed and all necessary repairs made.
• Refer to START-UP PROCEDURE for detailed instructions on starting the machine.
