General Description
- The HPR1 hydraulic drifter drill is a high performance, high efficiency hydraulic percussion drill.
- The drifter is designed for long life, minimum downtime and minimum operating cost. It has a simple manual stroke control plate that has two different stroke settings, one on each side of the plate, in addition to an optional plate for soft ground conditions.
- This enables the operator to vary the frequency and blow energy of the drifter to compensate for a wide range of ground conditions. This drifter is primarily used on the MK (Mine King) series of jumbos for underground mining and construction applications.
- The hole diameter range is 1.62″ (41 mm) to 4″ (102 mm) with 38mm drill steel. The drifter has a wide range of hydraulic differential pressure settings, 2200 – 2800 psi., dependent on application, required performance and hole diameter. There are two constructions of the HPRl, an ET and GT.
- The only difference is the rotation motor. For most drilling applications the ET version provides adequate torque. Where large hole diameters (21/2″ – 4″) are required or abrasive ground conditions exist, the GT version should be considered.
