Still RX50-10 RX50-13 RX50-15 RX50-16 Electric Forklift Operating Instructions Manual

This Still RX50-10 RX50-13 RX50-15 RX50-16 Electric Forklift Operating Instructions Manual is the full operator documentation issued by STILL GmbH for the RX50 series of four-wheel electric counterbalance trucks. It covers the RX50-10 (type 5061), the compact RX50-10c (type 5060), the RX50-13 (type 5063), the RX50-15 (type 5065) and the RX50-16 (type 5066) inside a single 374-page document published under document number 55048011501, edition 12/2015. Everything required to run, inspect and look after these trucks correctly is gathered here: the pre-shift visual inspection routine, drive program settings, load capacity diagrams, lifting and stacking procedures, attachment control layouts, battery handling, lubrication and maintenance schedules, and the full VDI technical datasheets for each model.

This is the operating instructions manual rather than a workshop repair manual. It tells the driver and the operating company how the truck must be used, checked and serviced, and it reproduces the safety regulations, capacity rating plate data and maintenance data table that the STILL service organisation works to. For anyone responsible for an RX50 truck in a warehouse, cold store, production hall or loading yard, it is the reference document the truck was delivered with.

Read as a whole, the manual moves from the paperwork that ships with the truck – CE marking, EC declaration of conformity, the capacity rating plate and the decal set – into the practical business of operating it. It explains how the multi-lever, mini-lever, Joystick 4Plus, fingertip and mini-console control layouts differ, what each pictogram on the levers means, how the hydraulic blocking function locks the mast when the driver leaves the seat, and how the seat switch, seat belt monitoring and drive direction logic interact. It then walks through lifting, stacking and de-stacking, load centre of gravity and load distance, the danger area around a raised load, and the rules for slopes, lifts and loading bridges. Attachments, trailer towing and cold store use each get their own treatment, and the closing chapters cover battery removal and charging, storage, cleaning and the maintenance intervals that keep the truck compliant with its annual safety inspection.

Load Capacity, Lifting and Fork Equipment

A substantial part of the manual deals with the load side of the truck. The capacity rating plate is explained in detail – rated capacity in kilograms, load centre of gravity distance, load distance from the fork back and the permitted lift height all read together, and the worked example in the manual shows how a load of 880 kg at a 500 mm load distance corresponds to a permitted lift height of 5230 mm. The safety rules are stated plainly: never exceed the values on the plate, always transport loads lowered and with the mast tilted back, keep the load centre of gravity midway between the fork arms, and never travel with the lift mast tilted forward under load. Fork arm selection, fork extensions with their securing bolt and link pin, and reversible fork arms for reverse operation are all covered, including the restriction that the load centre of gravity must not sit more than 600 mm above the ground in reverse operation.

Checks Before Every Shift

The pre-commissioning inspection routine is spelled out item by item: fork arm locking devices, roller tracks, chain tension and condition, leaks under the truck, overhead guard and guard grille, decals, warning units, hydraulic hoses and tank, battery retention, battery male connector condition, battery door and battery hood locks, steps, glass and the antistatic belt. The brake, steering and emergency stop checks each have their own procedure – pedal clearance of at least 60 mm, no more than two finger widths of steering play, and a roll-to-stop test with the emergency off switch. Zero adjustment of the load measurement and the function check of the lift mast vertical position are also documented for trucks fitted with those variants.

Attachments, Towing and Cold Store Work

Where a truck is fitted with an attachment, the manual explains how to depressurise the hydraulic plug connectors before mounting, how to confirm that the residual load capacity rating plate and lever pictograms match the attachment actually fitted, and how the clamp locking mechanism must be reassigned to the correct operating device when a clamp is reinstalled. The five attachment control schemes – multi-lever with and without the 5th function, double, triple and quadruple mini-lever, Joystick 4Plus and fingertip – are each illustrated with their pictogram tables. Trailer operation is limited to occasional towing not exceeding 2 percent of daily operating time, with a maximum towing speed of 5 km/h, and both the RO230 and RO244 couplings are described with their coupling and uncoupling procedures.

Maintenance Intervals and Service Data

Two maintenance checklists drive the schedule: the 1000-hour / annual service and the 3000-hour / two-year service. The annual list covers chassis and overhead guard inspection, controls and pedals, driver’s seat and restraint system, battery hood interlock, tyres and wheel torques, drive unit mounting and leaks, gearbox oil level, steering chain, brake components and brake fluid, contactors, switches and sensors, lighting, battery condition and acid density, hydraulic system and blocking valve, mast bearings, profiles, load chains, lift and tilt cylinders, guide pulleys and rollers, fork carriage, fork arm interlock and fork arm wear. The two-year list adds gearbox oil, brake fluid and hydraulic oil changes together with the return line, breather and high-pressure filters. The maintenance data table then supplies the actual consumables and values: HVLP 68 hydraulic oil to DIN 51524 part 3, brake fluid ATE DOT 4 SL.6, gearbox oil ARAL Degol GS 220, grease to DIN 51825-KPF2, chain spray, 195 Nm wheel nut torque, 275 Nm mast bearing screws, and a minimum 2 mm fork carriage stop play.

Technical Data for All Five Models

The technical data chapter reproduces the VDI datasheets for RX50-10 and RX50-13 on one side and RX50-15 and RX50-16 on the other, giving rated capacity, load centre distance, wheelbase, net weight including battery, axle loads with and without load, tyre size 180/70-8 superelastic, tilt angles of 3 degrees forward and 5 degrees backward, lift heights, overhead guard height, total length and width, aisle widths for 1000 x 1200 and 800 x 1200 pallets, turning radius, travel and lift speeds, pulling force, climbing capability, acceleration times, and the electric motor ratings of 4.9 kW traction and 7.6 kW lift at 24 V. Battery specifications by DIN 43535 A list the available capacities from 440 Ah to 1000 Ah with their weights and compartment dimensions, and the chapter closes with the complete fuse assignment for the control electronics.

Get the Still RX50-10 / 13 / 15 / 16 Operating Instructions as an Instant PDF

With these operating instructions on hand you can carry out the full pre-shift inspection, set the drive program and Blue-Q efficiency mode correctly, judge whether a load is within the capacity rating plate, operate every attachment variant the truck might be fitted with, replace and charge the battery safely, perform the daily lubrication and checks, and know exactly when the annual and two-yearly services fall due. Getting the load chart, the seat belt and restraint rules, the hydraulic blocking function and the emergency lowering procedure right is what keeps a counterbalance truck stable and its operator protected, and this is the document those rules come from.
