Description
Yale GP GLP GDP15-20AF BF Chassis Parts Manual – PDF Edition
This is the chassis parts manual for the Yale GP/GLP/GDP15-20AF/BF (B812) series of industrial trucks, published as document 9393853-10 in PDF edition dated Jun 5, 2015. Every assembly in the chassis group is broken down into its individual components with the part number, description, required quantity and the model applicability notes that tell you whether a given item fits a D5, FE or XA engine machine.
Because it is a parts manual rather than a service manual, the value here is exactness: you are not reading theory, you are reading the part number that goes on the order form. That makes this the document to keep open when you are rebuilding a clutch, chasing a synchronizer, replacing a brake shoe or trying to identify a hydraulic hose that has been superseded twice since the truck was built.

- Numerical Parts Index
That is the whole chassis of the B812 truck, top to bottom. The manual opens with a clutch and flywheel section for the manual-transmission trucks, then splits into three separate automatic-transmission paths so that a D5 machine, an FE machine and an XA machine each get their own torque converter, gear pump, control valve and hydraulic clutch breakdown. From there it works through the shift linkage, the oil lines, the differential, the engine end plate, the drive axle and tire group, then the three major chassis systems – steering, brakes and hydraulics – before finishing on the frame, body panels, seats, tanks and decals. A full numerical parts index at the back lets you jump straight from a number you have read off a worn component to the page that lists it.
What makes a parts manual of this kind genuinely useful is the serial-number logic built into the listings. Time and again a single part number carries a remark such as TO 95.4, FROM 95.5, TO 96.8, FROM 96.9, TO 97.5, FROM 97.6, TO 01.1 or FROM 01.2. Those remarks mark the change points where Yale swapped one component for another. Order the wrong side of a change point and the part will not fit, no matter how confident you are that it is the right one. Having the change points laid out on the page is the difference between one order and three.
The listings also carry the abbreviations you need to read them correctly: D5, FE and XA engine designations; GP, GLP and GDP vehicle types; A.T. and M.T. transmission types; and the quantity markers, including the AR and asterisk notations that indicate a quantity that varies or a maximum permitted use.
What This Chassis Parts Manual Lets You Do
This is the reference for anyone rebuilding or repairing the running gear of a Yale GP, GLP or GDP 15 to 20 AF/BF truck. In practical terms it lets you:
- Identify every component of the 11-inch clutch and case assembly by part number, including the release shaft, needle bearings, lever, hub and cover.
- Break down the manual transmission to synchronizer level, with separate left-hand and forward/reverse synchronizer assemblies listed hub, sleeve, ring, key and spring.
- Work through the automatic transmission for D5, FE and XA machines, with the correct torque converter, gear pump, control valve and hydraulic clutch internals for each engine type and each build period.
- Trace the A.T. oil line from converter to radiator to filter to clutch, with every hose length and clamp size called out.
- Rebuild the differential and the drive axle, including hubs, bearings, oil seals, lock nuts and the spiral bevel gear set.
- Overhaul the steering gear, steer cylinder and – on A.T.-Orbitrol machines from 98.10 – the orbitrol unit, trail axle and power cylinder.
- Re-seal or replace the brake master cylinder, clutch release cylinder, wheel cylinders and parking brake assemblies, with separate To 96.8 and From 96.9 wheel brake breakdowns.
- Order the right frame, cowl, floor plate, seat, tank, head guard and decal items for the truck in front of you.
- Match hydraulic oil piping, pump drives and SV11G or SVM11 control valve internals to the build period of the machine.
- Trace electrical components and wire harnesses for D5, FE and XA trucks, including the later From 00.6 harness revisions.
Underneath all of that, the point is accuracy. A parts manual does not teach you how to remove a transmission, but it removes the guesswork from what goes back in. Quantities are stated, so you know you need two needle bearings rather than one. Supersessions are noted, so you know a bolt changed from 4490010-23 to 4490013-02 at a given build point. Applicability remarks keep D5 parts away from FE trucks. For a workshop that runs several of these machines, or a single owner keeping one alive, that is the difference between a job that finishes and a job that stalls waiting on a return.

The file is delivered as an instant PDF download – nothing ships, nothing waits on a courier. Open it on a laptop in the workshop, on a tablet next to the truck, or print the pages for the assembly you are working on and take them under the machine with you. The exploded views and the numerical index are equally usable on screen or on paper.
