MMEL Valve Deactivation & Ground Testing Standards

When unexpected valve malfunctions occur on the line, maintaining operational dispatch capability is paramount. This manual provides direct compliance procedures for Master Minimum Equipment List dispatch under ATA 30-11 and ATA 30-21. Mechanics are guided through deactivating and securing the wing anti-ice control valves 9DL and 10DL in the CLOSED position using the integrated manual locking pin, lockwire (0.8 mm stainless steel annealed), and mandatory cockpit placards. For right-hand wing valve 10DL, deactivation to the OPEN position is fully detailed, highlighting specific flight operation limitations and slat overheat precautions.
