What This TCM Parts Catalogue Gives You
A parts catalogue solves a different problem from a repair manual. It does not tell you how to remove a transmission – it tells you exactly what that transmission is built from, down to the individual plate, ring, bearing, spring and bolt, and what each of those pieces is called when you go to order it. For the TCM FG35T8 through FD50T8 trucks that matters, because this range was built in several overlapping configurations: C-Type and T-Type drivetrains, gas and diesel power, and a long list of option codes such as EXA, EXN, EXD, EXE, SCB, RWL, RRL, TUE, LPG, HR and OKM. A component on an FD40C8 is not automatically the same component used on an FG50T8, and this catalogue is where that difference is spelled out.
The listings are organised so that each entry gives you the part number, the description, the quantity required, and the serial number or option-code range where that part applies. Where a part was superseded at a particular machine number, both numbers appear side by side so you can pick the one that matches your truck. Assemblies marked as assembled units are shown as a single item with the individual components listed underneath, which is useful when you only need one bearing out of a complete unit rather than the whole thing.
The drive unit, clutch pack, differential, wheel brake, steering axle and control valve sections go particularly deep – the differential listing breaks out the side gears, pinions, washers in several thicknesses, spider, slinger and adjusters, and the clutch pack sections separate the plates, rings, pistons, springs and seats. The mast section covers nine different mast families with separate front and rear lift cylinders, and includes both old and new part numbers for the lamp guard where the design changed.
How the Catalogue Is Organised
There are two routes into the book. If you already know the name of the part, the contents pages take you to the relevant section and then to the figure number for that section’s parts list. If you know where the part sits on the machine but not what it is called, you go to the illustration first, find the figure, and read the balloon number off the drawing to get the part number. Both routes are explained in the opening pages, along with the abbreviation key: ASSY for assembled units, RH and LH for right-hand and left-hand as viewed forward on the truck, AR for quantity as required, and the symbols marking marketable part sets, thickness values, items not illustrated and items not sold separately.
The front of the book also explains how to place an order. TCM asks for the model name, specification and serial number of the machine, plus the part number and quantity for each item. The serial number is on the machine name plate. That detail is worth following – the serial and option-code columns in the parts lists are what separate the correct part from a near-identical one.
One honest note on scope: this is a parts identification catalogue. It gives you illustrations, part numbers, quantities and applicability ranges. It is not a service or repair manual, and it does not contain step-by-step repair procedures or torque specifications. What it does contain is the complete illustrated breakdown of the chassis, drivetrain, hydraulics, electrics, mast and optional equipment for these trucks.
Who This Is For
Owners and operators running FG35T8, FD35C8, FD35T8, FG40T8, FD40C8, FD40T8, FG45T8, FD45C8, FD45T8, FG50T8 or FD50T8 trucks will use it to identify a failed component before ordering, to confirm that a part number quoted by a supplier actually belongs on their machine, and to check what else sits around a component while it is apart. Workshops and parts counters use it to look up quantities for a rebuild – how many of a given washer, ring or plate a job needs – and to trace supersessions where an early serial number used a different part from a later one. Restorers and rebuilders of these gas and diesel TCM forklifts get the option-code filtering that generic listings never provide.

With this catalogue on hand you can identify and order the right component for the right truck the first time – engine mounts, air cleaner elements, radiator and shroud parts, fuel and exhaust components, meters and switches, lighting, heater units, torque converter control, drive unit cases and internals, clutch packs, control valves in 2SV through 5SV form, charging and gear pumps, hydraulic lines, oil coolers, tilt and lift cylinders, axles, differentials, wheel brakes, steering columns and axles, pedals, boosters, frame panels, bonnets, seats, decals, service tools, LPG equipment and air conditioning, plus the complete mast and fork carriage assemblies.
Getting the part number wrong on a forklift is expensive in downtime and return freight, and the serial and option-code columns in this TCM parts catalogue are precisely what prevent that. Every figure, balloon number and parts list entry is reproduced from the original publication so you can cross-check a supplier’s number against the drawing before money changes hands.
