Description

Deutz TCD 2013 2V Workshop Manual – Order No. 0312 4076 en

This is the complete DEUTZ workshop manual for the TCD 2013 2V diesel engine family, covering both the four-cylinder and six-cylinder variants. Issued under order number 0312 4076 en and labelled Competence Level 2, the document is written for technicians who already know the operation manual and are ready to carry out repairs, overhauls, adjustments and component replacement on these engines. Every procedure is laid out as a numbered job card with photographs, torque values and cross-references to related cards, so a job can be followed from start to finish without guessing.

Chapters Covered

The Deutz TCD 2013 2V Workshop Manual follows the classic DEUTZ service-documentation layout: a short foreword and general section, a detailed user-notes chapter covering safety and cleanliness, complete testing and setting data with tightening specifications, a job card overview, then the job cards themselves and a full tool listing.

  • 1 Foreword – intended use, warranty and liability notes
  • 2 General – engine philosophy, maintenance and care
  • 3 User notes – 3.1 General, 3.2 Specifications (accident prevention and safety regulations, cleanliness instructions and measures for handling the DEUTZ Common Rail system, disposal regulations), 3.3 Operation manual and workshop manual, 3.4 Job cards (numbering and structure), 3.5 Explanation of symbols
  • 4 Technical data – 4.1 Testing and setting data, 4.2 Tightening specifications
  • 5 Job card overview – 5.1 sorted alphabetically, 5.2 sorted numerically, 5.3 job card references
  • 6 Job cards – the repair procedures themselves
  • 7 Commercial tools
  • 8 Special tools

The maintenance groups used throughout the job cards follow DEUTZ numbering: 00 General, 01 Cylinder head, 02 Drive system, 03 Crankcase, 04 Engine control system, 05 Speed governing, 06 Exhaust system / Charging, 07 Fuel system, 08 Lube oil system, 09 Cooling system, 10 Compressed air system, 11 Monitoring system, 12 Other components and 13 Electrical system. Each job card number – for example W 01-02-02 – tells you the documentation type (W for workshop manual, I for repair instructions), the maintenance group, the component grouping and a consecutive number, so a technician can jump straight to the relevant procedure without scanning the whole file.

Job Cards Included in This Deutz TCD 2013 2V Workshop Manual

  • W 07-11-01 – Removing and installing the fuel supply pump (V-belt drive)
  • W 08-11-08 – Removing and installing the oil pressure switch
  • W 09-08-01 – Checking the coolant thermostat when uninstalled
  • W 09-08-02 – Removing and installing the thermostat
  • W 09-12-01 – Removing and installing the temperature transmitter
  • W 12-01-04 – Removing and installing the torsional vibration damper (V-belt drive)
  • W 12-02-02 – Removing and installing the V-belt and V-belt pulley
  • W 12-06-01 – Removing and installing the flywheel
  • W 13-01-02 – Removing and installing the cable harness
  • W 13-02-03 – Removing and installing the generator (V-belt drive)
  • W 13-03-02 – Removing and installing the starter
  • W 13-08-01 – Removing and installing the pressure/temperature sensor (charge air)

Each card is a self-contained procedure with tools listed up front, step-by-step photographic sequences, tightening values called out by their DEUTZ ID numbers, and references to any prerequisite job card – so a valve clearance adjustment, for instance, points you to the exhaust return module removal card and the turn-over gear procedure automatically.

Testing, Setting and Tightening Data

Section 4 gives technicians the values that have to be exact. Valve clearance is set on a cold engine with oil temperature below 80 degrees Celsius and at least half an hour of cooling time, using the rotation-angle disc method – 90 degrees for the inlet, 150 degrees for the outlet and 144 degrees for the control piston. The manual also lists engine weights, total volume, bore, stroke, compression ratio, direction of rotation and ignition sequence for both the L4 2V and L6 2V versions, plus the rocker arm bore diameter with its tolerance.

Tightening specifications are indexed by DEUTZ ID numbers so they can be found quickly from the job cards: A00 001 for the clamping bracket on the crankcase, A01 003 for the valve clearance adjusting screw lock nut, A01 004 for the cylinder head cover, A03 092 for the gearcase on the crankcase, A06 001 for the exhaust manifold, A06 020 for the turbocharger and many more.

Safety, Cleanliness and the DEUTZ Common Rail System

Because the TCD 2013 2V uses the DEUTZ Common Rail fuel system, this workshop manual devotes a full section to the high-precision cleaning rules that must be observed before and during any work on the fuel system. It explains how to close and clean the system, which tools may be used, how to handle removed components, how to bag and dispose of stoppers and caps, and how to set up a workshop area so that dust, grinding sparks and draughts cannot contaminate the fuel circuit. High-pressure fuel lines, injectors and pressure sensors all come with their own safety warnings – including the 30-second wait after switching the engine off, the prohibition on disconnecting an injector while the engine runs, and the danger of fuel jets under pressure.

Tools – Commercial and Special

The manual lists the standard workshop tools and DEUTZ special tools needed for the work, with illustrations: assembly block 6066 and clamping brackets 6066/158, turn-over gear 100320, rotation angle disc 8190, screwdriver inserts 8191 and 8194, open-end wrench adapters 8196 and 8199, socket wrench insert 103050, dial gauge 100400, spring band pliers 9090, V-belt tension measuring device 8115 and others – each one shown so the correct part can be identified before starting.

What This Deutz TCD 2013 2V Workshop Manual Enables

Buying this manual gives you the exact procedures DEUTZ published for the TCD 2013 2V engine, not a generic substitute. With it you can set valve clearance and control-piston clearance correctly, remove and refit the turbocharger, exhaust return module, charge air line and fuel supply pump, pull and reinstall the flywheel, torsional vibration damper and V-belt drive, service the cooling system thermostat, replace the oil pressure switch, cable harness and charge-air pressure/temperature sensor, and verify every torque value against the DEUTZ specification rather than a guess. For a workshop that sees TCD 2013 2V engines, this is the reference that keeps the job accurate and repeatable.
